Today is World Autism Awareness Day! At the UBS Arena, the New York Islanders and Chicago Blackhawks are having a competition of ice hockey and Heartik Club is there to support. In collaboration with the Nassau/Suffolk Autism Society of America (NSASA), the club is selling raffle tickets with half of the proceeds going to a lottery and the other half being donated to the Islander Children's Foundation to help special needs children.
With 15 members in attendance, the club worked diligently to publicize and promote the event, raising over 10,000 dollars by 7:30 pm. A big shoutout to NSASA for providing this volunteer opportunity for our members to make a difference in the community.
