Living Skill Camp 04/16/25

On April 16th, HEARTIK joined in the Independent Living Skill Camp. The kids from special education kicked things off with fun ice-breaking intros, helping everyone loosen up while practicing their talking skills. The spotlight of the day was all about making sushi. Volunteers got the ingredients ready, and the kids dove into the best part: placing and rolling the sushi, turning it into a tasty treat! It was like doing crafts and cooking all rolled into one, and the kids loved making and eating at the same time. They had a blast during the game part, too, playing and moving around, picking up some great practice along the way. HEARTIK really benefited from the experience and is planning to keep up collaborative learning to better support these awesome kids!
