Heartik 2026 Annual Management Conference

The 2026 HEARTIK Annual Meeting took place on April 19 at Great Neck House. Headquarter members, branch leaders, volunteers, and families came together to look back on the past year and make plans for the year ahead.

The meeting began with a review of HEARTIK's work and accomplishments in 2026. The outgoing President shared highlights from the past year, including the growth of community programs and the many events and workshops held across different branches. Thanks were given to all the volunteers whose time and effort made these activities possible.

Graduating members were recognized during the meeting. A student representative spoke on behalf of the graduates, sharing thoughts on their time with HEARTIK and thanking the volunteers and mentors who supported them along the way. Each graduate received a small gift as a way of saying thank you for their contributions.

The new headquarters leadership team was then announced. The incoming Chair took over and introduced the updated list of branch leaders. Each leader gave a short introduction and shared a few goals for their branch in the coming term. Several new branches were also introduced, which shows how HEARTIK continues to grow and reach more communities.

The meeting also covered the main goals and plans for the 2026–2027 term. Expectations for branch leaders and general members were reviewed, including things like staying in touch, showing up to meetings and events, and keeping track of volunteer hours. These habits help the organization run smoothly and show partners that HEARTIK is reliable. There was also a short explanation of how members can apply to become branch or project leaders in the future.

Parent representative spoke at the end of the meeting, sharing a family's point of view and expressing thanks for what HEARTIK does.

The meeting concluded with warm congratulations to the graduating class and sincere appreciation for every member, branch leader, volunteer, and family who contributes to HEARTIK's mission. We look forward to the year ahead and to working together toward a meaningful and productive 2026–2027 term.
